Bears And Bells

While visiting a park in Canada the ranger was explaining a few things about bears and safety.

He carefully told everybody how the black bear was rather common and usually harmless, but just to be safe it is smart to tie a small bell to the backpack or belt of each hiker. This allows the bear to know you are coming, and they usually will just leave the area.

The ranger then told everyone that the grizzly bear was another story, very dangerous to humans, and if we see grizzly bear droppings we should immediately leave the area.

"So how do we know if we are looking at grizzly bear droppings?" asked one of the hikers.

The ranger replied, "They're full of small bells.
