Fatherly Love Is Not Brotherly Love

Two men get in a traffic accident, and when they get out of their cars they realize they are both Catholic priests.

One looks at the other and says, "Well, we both are fine, not injured, though our cars are damaged. This must be a sign from God that we shall meet and become friends."

The second priest nods in agreement and adds, "Yes, and look at this, though my car is totaled, this bottle of wine was on the seat and it did not break. A miracle. Surely this means that God wishes us to share this wine and toast our friendship."

He unscrews the wine cap and hands the bottle to the other priest who takes several long and satisfying drinks from the bottle. He hands the bottle back and the other priest screws the lid back onto the bottle tightly.

"Aren't you going to drink and toast our new friendship."

"Oh no," he replied, "I think I shall just wait here for the police."
