One Violent Cockroach

Pete was sitting home one evening when the doorbell rang. He opened the door and was surprised to see a six foot tall cockroach on his doorstep. The giant roach punched Pete right between the eyes and quickly scurried away into the darkness.

The next morning Pete was waiting for the bus he rode to work when someone tapped him on the shoulder. As he turned around he was cold-cocked hard right in the side of the head, and as he fell crumpled to the ground he once again saw the cockroach quickly running away.

Pete managed to get up and finally was well enough to go to work, but all day long he was a bit nervous and not feeling too well. Shuffling home that evening, looking forward to a long, hot bath, he was opening the front door of his house when the violent cockroach came hurtling out of the bushes, karate chopped Pete across the back of his neck, and beat and kicked him severely before again scurrying away. Pete barely made it into his house, calling an ambulance, and was rushed to the hospital.

The next morning the doctor on rounds stopped in Pete's room and asked what had happened. Pete explained about the huge cockroach and the multiple attacks over the course of the last day. The doctor looked at him thoughtful for a moment and then replied, "Yes, there is a nasty bug going around."
